Centreforce Radio started as the biggest and most-listened-to underground radio station during the Summer of Love and the Acid House era in the late 80s. It became the birthplace for some of the most influential record labels and DJs in dance music.
The radio station is definitely in the status books of dance music history. It played a major role in the music industry. Unfortunately, the station closed in 1990. However, it was relaunched in 2018 and went live on DAB radio on 14 July. Currently, Centreforce broadcasts to over 6.2 million listeners across 192 countries worldwide. These listeners can tune on on DAB and online.
Centreforce has a wide following on social media, and any event they host gets sold out within days. With 15 million views on Facebook live, 6.2 million listeners and more than 100,000 social media followers, it's evident they have a strong fan base. In 2020, Centreforce partnered with some big names in the music industry and expanded its DAB network to Cheshire, Liverpool and North Wales. Each year, the owners target to achieve better goals while ensuring listeners enjoy the best music all year round.
Centreforce radio is available on DAB to London and the Home Counties. It's also available online to the global audience, bringing you the finest house, soul, old school, rare groove, funk and disco music.
