Radio Caroline is a radio station based in Britain. It was established in 1964 by Ronan O'Rahilly and Alan Crawford. Initially, the station faced great competition from BBC's radio broadcasting monopoly, especially in the UK, but eventually, it established strong ground.
On Radio Caroline, listeners hear great music from the early '60s to early '90s. One thing that the station is loved for is its on-air competitions. During these competitions, listeners get a chance to win virtual money, which can be used on the station's webshop. The common gift awarded is an A3 print from Howard Hornagold's collection.
Radio Caroline operates on the medium wave band; therefore, you should have a medium wave capable radio. You can tune in from Suffolk and Essex, but the signal gets weaker gradually as you move away from these areas. Since nowadays you'll hardly find such radios, you should listen to the radio station on the internet.
In England, Belgium and Netherlands, tune in on 648 AM and 1368 AM in the North. If you don't have the required radio, you can listen on the Radio Caroline app, smart speakers or online.
