TalkRADIO is a talk radio station broadcasting in the United Kingdom, launched on 21/03/2016. TalkRADIO is the sister station of talkSPORT (a renowned sports station), Talksport 2, Times Radio and Talksport 2. The station is located in London, and Wireless Group owns it.
TalkRADIO began broadcasting in 2/1995 using the AM wavelengths (1053/1089 kHz). The first presenters on the station included the popular Carol McGiffin, Anna Raeburn, Scott Chisholm and Mike Dickin. After introducing the new DAB multiplex, the owners relaunched the station on DAB on 21/3/2016. After this launch, the station started featuring other presenters like Julia Hartley-Brewer, Paul Ross, Jon Holmes, Lain Lee and Jonny Gould on weekends. On weekdays, these presenters switch with others, giving listeners new voices.
TalkRADIO offers news bulletins hourly and special bulletins from Sky News Radio on weekends. In 2018, the station underwent a revamp, which saw it coming back as a more news-focused station. Currently, the station is on DAB+. They also have a radio app which was released on Apple.
