Fun Kids is a radio station based in the United Kingdom. It is a children's and pop digital radio station broadcasting online, including programmes on YouTube and podcast channels. The station is owned and operated by Children's Radio UK Ltd, broadcasting on DAB Digital Radio, online and on mobile. Previously, Fun Kids has won the Sony and Arqiva Digital Radio Stations of the year awards.
Fun Kids, which was known as Fun Radio, was established by GCap Media. Susan Stranks, the children's campaigner, was at the forefront of creating this station. It was launched in May 2005 as Fun Radio but was acquired by Folder Media in September 2008. The station was initially launched on DAB digital radio, specifically in London and other South Eastern areas. They also used to broadcast on digital TV. Unfortunately, due to local digital multiplex changes in 2008, Fun Radio was removed as a service for listeners outside London. Fun Kids was then launched temporarily in 2009 on the Digital One multiplex. The same year, Fun Kids was removed from Sky Channel and Virgin Media Channel. In 2016, the station started broadcasting nationwide by DAB digital radio multiplex. The station launched alongside the multiplex's other stations. Therefore, you can listen to Fun Kids on DAB or online anytime.
